Three of a family die in car-van collision

A couple and their son were today killed and two injured in a collision involving a car and van near Marapallam on the city outskirts, police said.

The deceased--70-year-old Palanisamy, wife Indrani (60) and their son Senthilkumar(40)-- were proceeding in a car to a temple in Kerala. The van with eight persons was coming from the opposite direction when the accident occurred,police said.

Two persons in the van sustained injuries and are being treated at a private hospital here.
