Tigress dies after fight with bison in NNTR

A tigress 'A-Mark Maayi', who had sustained injuries after a fight with a bison at the Navegoan-Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR) today succumbed to her wounds, forest officials said.

The around 15-year-old tigress, also known as 'T-2' had sustained injuries after the fight two days ago, Conservator of Forest R S Govekar said.

The tigress, a pride of NNTR, was found dead at Chorkhamara beat of the tiger reserve this afternoon, he said.
