TN guv, ministers pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi

Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah led the state in paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 68th death anniversary today.

Rosaiah showered flower petals on a decorated portrait of Gandhiji beneath the Gandhi statue on Marina beach here, marking a state event to honour the Father of the Nation.

Finance and PWD Minister O Panneerselvam and other state ministers too paid floral tributes to Gandhiji.

Programmes were also organised in several schools and colleges across the state on the occasion.
