Tokyo stocks dive 5.5 % as Trump closes in on White House
Tokyo stocks nosedived today as Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared to be closing in on victory in the knife-edge race for the White House.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index plummeted 5.5 per cent, or 949.36 points, to 16,222.02 in afternoon trading.
