A 27-year-old traffic police constable was today injured after being hit by a speeding car near the Indira Gandhi International Airport, the police said.
Constable Shakti Singh and sub-inspector Surender Singh, posted at the Indira Gandhi Traffic Circle, were on duty when the incident happened.
The constable waved a hand towards a speeding SUV asking it to stop, they said.

However, the driver did not stop and fled from the spot after hitting the police personnel, said a senior police officer.
The constable, who was injured, was taken to AIIMS where he is currently undergoing treatment, he said.
The police have identified the offending vehicle and its driver and are on a lookout for the accused.
