Streaming service Netflix has announced August 5 as the release date for "The Little Prince" and also unveiled its official trailer.
The film, based on Antoine de Saint-Exupery's 1943 novella, would be available for streaming on Netflix along with its release in a few select US theatres, reported Aceshowbiz.
The trailer shows a blend of CG and stop motion graphics, reminiscent of Antoine's original art in her book.

The classic tells the story of a little girl and her adventures after meeting her elderly neighbour who narrates stories about a boy he once met, the Little Prince.
The voice cast of the film includes Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, Marion Cotillard, James Franco and Ricky Gervais.
