US President Donald Trump has been briefed on North Korea's launch of an unidentified missile over Japan, according to White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
"The President has been briefed on the latest North Korea missile launch by General Kelly," Sanders said, referring to the president's chief of staff.
The launch, from near Pyongyang, came after the United Nations Security Council imposed an eighth set of sanctions on the country over its ballistic missile and atomic weapons programs.
