Two Andhra govt employees held for bribery

Two Andhra Pradesh government employees were arrested for accepting bribes, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said today.

Malavath Lachmya, Surveyor in the Office of Tahsildar at Maheswaram mandal in Ranga Reddy district, was caught red-handed by sleuths when he was accepting Rs 25,000 from a complainant at his residence last night, an ACB release said.

Lachmya had sought illegal gratification for conducting survey of the complainant's land located at Kolla Padagal.

In another case, P Kiran Kumar, Assistant Engineer of Rural Water Scheme, Nizamabad mandal, was trapped by ACB when he was accepting Rs 5,000 from a complainant at his residence yesterday, the release said.
