Two arrested for committing burglary

With the arrest of Yamin Khan, 21, and Jitender Kumar Sharma, 22, hailing from Badarpur and Sangam Vihar here respectively, police claimed to have worked out three cases of theft in south Delhi area.

Police, on July 13, received a tip off that the accused would come to near Ashram Chowk in the evening with stolen laptops and mobile phones for selling them.

A trap was laid which led to the arrest of the accused, they said adding that six laptops, four mobile phones and some house breaking equipments were recovered from them, they said.

During interrogation, they said that they were involved in cases of house burglaries in Maharani Bagh, Sarita Vihar, Badarpur, Jamia, Ali Gaon areas of south Delhi.

 

They used to commit the offence during day time when houses were locked from outside, police said, adding that the accused originally hail from Jhansi and Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh.
