Two persons were today arrested for allegedly organising bullock races in Ambernath here, police said today.
According to police, in all three persons were booked late last night on the alleged charges of meting out cruelty to the animals by organising these races yesterday.
Police booked Datta Thorve @ Buva, Avinash Rasal, 25 and Amar Soni under sections 11(1) of Cruelty to animals and also sections 47,48 and 49A of the transportation of animals act, and also section 119 of Bombay Police Act.
While Datta is yet to be arrested two others were apprehended by Shivaji Nagar police of Ambernath, police said.
