Two arrested for peddling drugs

Two people allegedly involved in drug peddling were arrested today, along with poppy straw and intoxicant capsules in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said.

Ravi Kumar alias "Sethi" and Kewal Krishan were arrested in separate police raids at Vijaypur and Bari Brahmana areas respectivey, the official said.

He said 680 intoxicant capsules were seized from Kumar's possession and 1.3 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from Krishan.

The accused were booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances(NDPS) Act, the police spokesman said.
