Two booked for illegally manufacturing fireworks in UP

Two persons, including a woman, have been booked here for illegally manufacturing fireworks, police said today.

A raid was conducted based on a tip off that several people were manufacturing fireworks without a license in area under Kotwali Mirechi, a police official said.

While six kg of fireworks and raw material was seized during the raid, the people managed to give police the slip, he added.

An FIR has been registered against two persons, identified as Girraj and Munni Devi, in the case under the Explosives Act, the official said.
