Two crocodiles were rescued by the forest department in the last 24 hours in Gujarat, officials said today.
While a 4-ft crocodile was rescued from a well located in Lakshmi Vilas Palace compound here, another one was rescued from a farm in Maradi village of Nadiad tehsil in neighbouring Kheda district yesterday.
The 4-ft long rescued crocodile is kept in the enclosure of crocodiles in the office premises of the forest department here, forest official P B Chauhan said.

The crocodile was spotted by a youth Devang Datar, who in-turn informed the officials following which the amphibious reptile was rescued, he said.
The other crocodile was spotted in the farm of one Maganbhai Chauhan by a woman labourer. She informed officials following which it was rescued and set free into a pond located in the vicinity, Range Forest Officer N A Vankar, said.
