Two persons including a builder
who allegedly fabricated land records showing a dead man as alive, with an intention to grab his property, was arrested here, police said today.
According to senior PI S S Kadam of the Kapurbwadi police station, duo-- builder Bechar Bhau Patel and Lalchand Dubey, an autorickshaw driver--was arrested last night following a complaint by the deceased's son Anil Babu Jadhav.

As per the complainant, they owned a land in Majiwada locality and his father Babu Ganpat Jadhav died way back in 1983. In order to grab this land, Bechar fabricated the land records showing Ganpat alive and got his signatures forged following which the accused presented it in government offices to show the land as 'sold'.
The accused were booked under sections 420, 465, 468, 471 of IPC and were arrested, police said adding further probe is on.
