Two liquor smugglers held in UP

Jewar police today arrested two liquor smugglers and seized 47 cartons of smuggled liquor from their possession.

A car which was coming from Haryana was intercepted at Jewar border and upon search of the vehicle, 15 cartons of foreign liquor and 27 cartons of country-made liquor were recovered, police said.

The cartons were being smuggled into Gautam Buddha Nagar.

The two arrested persons have been identified as Manoj and Gittu, they said.

An FIR has been lodged at Jewar police station.
