ULFA militant arrested

An ULFA militant was arrested and an IED was recovered with his help by a joint team of Assam Police, Army and the CRPF.

The ULFA cadre was arrested last night from Jharpara in Kamrup district, an Assam Police spokesperson said.

The cadre after his arrest led the security forces to recover an IED weighing about 1 kg from Khanamukh area in Guwahati, the official said adding necessary steps have been taken for disposal of the IED by bomb disposal squad.
