Uma Bharti asks officials to convene meeting with state govts

Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti today asked her ministry officials to convene an urgent meeting with representatives of State governments to discuss about the emerging challenges in the water resources sector.

An official statement here said that Bharti has asked her ministry officials to call for an urgent meeting of representatives of various state governments to effectively meet the new emerging challenges in the water resources sector.

During a meeting with Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao here today she said that her ministry will explore new ways and means to help various projects of the State.

Rao urged the Union Minister to expedite various pending proposals of Telangana for which Bharti assured that all the proposals will be examined expeditiously.
