Uttar Pradesh GRP launches 'WhatsApp' help line number

The Uttar Pradesh Government Railway Police (GRP) today launched a WhatsApp help line number for railway passengers to report any crime incidents during their journey.

Deputy Superintendent of GRP Randheer Singh today released the helpline number - 9454404444 -- and inaugurated the control room.

The number is connected with the office of Director General of GRP Lucknow, he informed.

"Passengers travelling in trains can report crime incidents and grievances on this WhatsApp number and the complaint will be sent to the nearest GRP police station," Singh said

The passenger will get police assistance at the earliest, he assured.

This WhatsApp number has been made public by GRP throughout Uttar Pradesh, he added.
