"Veronese" wins main event at Hyderabad race

Rank outsider "Veronese", ably ridden by jockey Neeraj Rawal, won the main event of the Golconda Oaks (Grade II) distance about 2400 M of the 18th day of the winter races here today.

The winner was trained by Laxman S.

Jockey Suraj Narredu scored a double, while trainer Laxman scored a triple.

Only one first favourite obliged in a card of nine events.
