"The Walking Dead" alum Jon Bernthal has landed a role on the second season of Netflix's "Daredevil".
The 38-year-old actor will play the role of Marvel favorite the Punisher on the series starring Charlie Cox, said Hollywood Reporter.
"Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences," Jeph Loeb, Marvel head of TV said.
While series regular and recurring details are still under wraps, Bernthal will have what is said to be a big presence on the series.
The Punisher is an anti-hero-vigilante who employs murder, kidnapping, extortion, coercion, threats of violence, and torture in his war on crime.
"Daredevil" returns to Netflix in 2016.
