'Witch doctor' beheaded

Ojha (witch doctor) was beheaded allegedly by two unidentified persons at Paharipur village of Palamau district, police today said.

Two unidentified persons arrived on a motorcycle to meet the victim Vakil Singh, known to be a witch-doctor in the locality last night and sought his help with regard to some ailment, police said.

Singh agreed relunctantly and accompanied them and his torso and severed head was recovered near the village today.

The reason behind the incident was being investigated.
