A woman and her two daughters were found murdered in their house in Bhagalpur district of Bihar under mysterious circumstances today, the police said.
Sultanganj Additional Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar said prima facie the three seem to have died after their throats were slit with sharp edged weapons during the early hours.
"The bodies were in a room, which was closed from inside. We have sent the bodies for postmortem and called in forensic investigation team to probe the matter. Rekha's husband Alakhdev alias Niranjan and a few other family members have been taken into custody for interrogation," Kumar said.

The incident took place a house on Ghat Road under Sultanpur police station area and the deceased have been identified as Rekha Devi (40), Komal Kumari (16) and Anshu Kumari (9).
The Additional SP said the murders seem to be fallout of domestic dispute between Rekha and her husband and the police is investigating it from this angle as well.
"Rekha was earlier married to a cousin of Alakhdev and the two daughters were born of that marriage. She got married to Alakhdev after her first husband died. As per our information so far, domestic fights were going on between the two for the last few days," Kumar added.
