Woman arrested for trying to supply drugs to jail inmates

A woman has been arrested for allegedly trying to supply drugs to inmates of the district jail here, police said today.

Shahina yesterday came to meet her relative, a life convict, in jail. During checking at the main gate, 450 tablets of a banned drug and 150 gram of charas were seized from her possession, Jail Superintendent Rakesh Singh said.

Police registered a case in the matter and arrested the woman, Singh said.
