Woman held for acid attack

A woman was arrested for her

alleged involvement in an acid attack incident in which four persons sustained burn injuries today, police said.

The woman, who runs a shop at Nayapatty area of Bidhan Nagar in the eastern fringe of the city, allegedly threw acid towards one person following a quarrel over monetary matters, a senior officer of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate said.

Three other persons including a civic volunteer were also injured in the acid attack, he said.

The four victims suffered minor burn injuries.
