Woman killed for dowry

The woman identified as Parveen Sultana (19) was choked by Illias using a chain, according to the FIR filed by her family members, police sources said.

Parveen's family hailing from Sunaibera under Juria police station complained that Illias had been demanding Rs 50,000 from them since her marriage a month ago and was harassing her.

Efforts were on to trace the accused who is absconding, the sources said.
