The Kandhamal Police arrested a youth in Bhubaneswar on charge of preparation and circulation of pornographic video and obscene pictures of a college going girl, the police said.
Soumya Behera of Nayagarh district, who was hiding in an electrical apparatus shop at Bapuji Nagar in Bhubaneswar, was taken in custody yesterday, SP KB Singh said.
According to the FIR lodged with Phulbani town police on Thursday by the father of the victim, nude videos and some still photographs of his second daughter were circulated in social media allegedly by the accused last week.
The video footage, photos were taken after giving her a drug-laced soft drink, the father alleged in the FIR.
Acting up on the FIR, the town police had registered a case and arrested the accused from his hide out at a shop at Bapuji Nagar in Bhubaneswar and searching other four youths involved with the crime.
Two youths are being interrogated at town Police Station, U.K.Pradhan the Inspector-In-Charge and Investigating officer said.
