Press Trust of India New Delhi
Zinc prices moved down by 0.60 per cent to Rs 173 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut down their bets on easing spot demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.05, or 0.60 per cent to Rs 173 per kg in business turnover of 1,104 lots.

Also, the metal for delivery in July contracts traded lower by Re 1, or 0.57 per cent to Rs 173.30 per kg in 45 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to fall in demand from consuming industries at the spot market mainly led to the fall in zinc prices in futures trade.
