Manjula Bhansali, Singhi Arrested

Manjula Bhansali, wife of CRB Capital Markets chief C R Bhansali, and another accused in the CRB scam, Prakash Chandra Singhi, were arrested in Delhi yesterday.

They were produced before chief metropolitan magistrate Prem Kumar, who granted a transit remand to the investigating agency for producing them before a Mumbai court by today. The two were arrested from the Green Park house of P C Singhi alias Prakash Chand Jain. The CRB company chief has been accused of siphoning Rs 58 crore of shareholders money.

CBI had registered the case in Mumbai on May 20.

The two accused were to be taken to Mumbai late last evening. They would be accompanied by two CBI inspectors, S P Singh and G S Dhanka.

 

The CMM also ordered that the air fare for their transit from Delhi to Mumbai would have to be borne by the accused.
