Rs 12,000 Crore World Bank Loan For Karnataka

World Bank President James Wolfensohn Thursday announced a Rs 12,000-crore loan for Karnataka to implement anti-poverty measures and infrastructure projects. The money would be spent on projects in the areas of water supply, irrigation and watershed management. The bank will also finance highway projects and support fiscal governance measures and power projects.
