The task would be anything but easy for the home team as their opponents are the current table-toppers who have earned 13 points from six game so far and have scored 18 goals in the process. Leading the line for Goa is Ferran Corominas who leads both the goalscoring as well as the assists charts.
The home team are wary of the danger posed by Corominas, but also know that FC Goa are more than just the Spanish forward. Equally dangerous, if not more, has been his compatriot Edu Bedia who has already chipped in with four goals and an assist.
"It is not about Coro only, they have Bedia and Boumous who are equally talented. We need to focus on Goa as a team," Kerala Blasters assistant coach Thangboi Singto said.
Kerala would also look to exploit the vulnerability the adventureous Gaurs face at the back
"With due respect to Goa, we know they are an attacking team but if you see their record, they really do concede goals also. We as a team should definitely start to win," Singto said.
Kerala have only one win to show for their efforts in six games, and that was in the opening game of the season against ATK. They are now winless in five games with four draws and a loss against Bengaluru FC in the previous fixture.
