Apcotex Industries, one of the leading producers of performance emulsion polymers in India, has decided to temporarily shutdown its rubber plant in Taloja, Maharashtra, for carrying out maintenance activities. “The high styrene rubber plant at Taloja will be closed for 3 to 4 months for repair works,” said Apcotex in a BSE filing on June 7, 2016.
In the meanwhile, the company will supply high styrene rubber to its customers its wholly owned subsidiary’s (Apcotex Solutions India Pvt Ltd) plant at Valia, Gujarat.
Apcotex Industries had brought Valia plant from Omnova Solutions India Pvt Ltd, the Indian arm of US-based specialty chemicals company Omnova Solutions Inc, in February this year to grow its emulsion polymers business.
