Atanu Chakraborty takes over as Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals' MD

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd has informed BSE that the Government of Gujarat has appointed Atanu Chakraborty, as the Managing Director of the company, to replace M S Dagur. Atanu Chakraborty, the present Managing Director of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFCL), has taken the additional charge of MD of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd February 27, 2014.
 
Chakraborty, a 1985 batch IAS officer of Gujarat Cadre, is an engineering graduate with specialisation in electronics and communication and has done his post graduate diploma in business finance from France and subsequently MBA from UK.
