GPCB revokes Sabero Organics unit closure order

The state pollution control board had issued closure notice on November 15, 2013

Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has revoked its closure order (issued on November 15, 2013) for Sarigam unit of Sabero Organics Gujarat Ltd, a subsidiary of Coromandel International Ltd. “With reference to the earlier announcement dated November 18, 2013 informing about the direction of GPCB to close the operations at the company's Sarigam unit within 15 days of their order for alleged non-conformance of certain environmental norms, Sabero Organics Gujarat Ltd has now informed BSE that the GPCB, subsequent to their visit and inspection of the company's unit, has vide its letter dated November 30, 2013 has revoked its closure order for a period of 3 months during which period company will ensure adherence of guidelines stipulated by GPCB,” said the company in a BSE filing.
 
Consequent to the revocation order, company continues to operate the plant without any disruption.
