JK Tyre officials launching VEM 045 tyre at IMME 2014

JK Tyre & Industries, a leading radial tyre manufacturer in India, has launched India’s largest tyre, VEM 045, at this year’s International Mining & Machinery Exhibition (IMME) in Kolkata on December 3, 2014. The company also launched 18.00-25 VEM smooth tyre underlining company’s aggressive approach to enhance presence across industries and geographies.
 
Standing at 12 feet high and weighing 3.7 tonnes, VEM 045 is specifically built for India’s biggest rigid dump-truck having nominal payload capacity of 240 tonnes. The giant marks the tyre maker’s aggressive strategy to ride on the expected growth across the mining and infrastructure sectors in the coming months.
 
Devesh Dabas, Head of Off-the-road Business at JK Tyre & Industries Limited, said, “JK Tyre is the only off-the-road tyre manufacturer with wide range of customised product-solution for industrial and mining applications. With better days in the offing, the mining industry holds great potential and we are ready to make the most of it.”
 
The second product launched by JK Tyre today, 18.00-25 VEM Smooth, is a specialised product for reach-stacker application to improve life and productivity. Its massive tread is designed to optimised tread wear giving an exceptional longevity and mobility.
