MI skipper Harmnapreet Kaur's fifty paired with a brilliant cameo by Amanjot made sure that MI chase down the 168-run target on the night to go level with RCB on 4 points in the points table.
Earlier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had set a 168-run target in their 20 overs for the Mumbai Indians as Elysse Perry saved RCB from a scare after a quick fall of wickets on the night. RCB started off well with skipper Smriti Mandhana hitting a few boundaries but she was eventually dismissed early in the innings. Same was the case for the rest of the top order as the hosts were struggling at 57/4 within 8 overs. It was Elysse Perry who came in and hit aggressive shots right from the start to get tot a respectable total in the end. Her 81 runs off 43 deliveries made sure that the fans got to see what they had came down for today. 11 fours and 2 sixes in her innings as she time and again reminds everyone how important all-rounder she is for her side.
Defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women, have stormed to the top of the table, boasting a flawless record with two wins in as many games. They kicked off their campaign in style, defeating Gujarat Giants by six wickets in their opener. Their second victory was nothing short of dominant, as they cruised past Delhi Capitals with an eight-wicket triumph. Renuka Singh shone as the player of the match, and captain Smriti Mandhana's half-century added to the team's growing momentum.
In contrast, Mumbai Indians have had a mixed start, with one win and one loss. After a heart-stopping last-ball defeat to Delhi in their opening match, they bounced back fiercely, defeating Gujarat by five wickets. Their all-around performance, with both bat and ball, shows they are a force to be reckoned with.
