Shubman Gill became 37th India captain in the Test cricket on Saturday. He succeded Rohit Sharma as the new India Test captain.  25-year-old Gill will be the new captain in the era which will be without the likes of R Ashwin, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. All three stalwarts of cricket already announced their retirement.
Shubman Gill is set to enter the record books as the fifth-youngest player to captain India in Test cricket when he leads the side in the opening match of the five-Test series against England at Leeds on June 20.

At 25 years and 285 days, the Punjab-born batter takes over the reins following Rohit Sharma’s retirement from the longest format earlier this month.
