Kejriwal biggest liar, AAP broke all records of corruption during 10-year rule in Delhi: Nadda

BJP president J P Nadda on Thursday called AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal the "biggest liar" as he targeted the party's government in Delhi over its alleged failure to fulfil its promises and corruption during its 10-year tenure.

If a competition of lying is organised at the national level, Kejriwal would come first, Nadda said at a public meeting in Uttam Nagar here, hitting the campaign trail for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.

The Union minister listed the excise policy case, in which several AAP leaders including Kejriwal were arrested, among "scams" of the Delhi government. The AAP cut pockets of everyone in Delhi during its two consecutive terms, the BJP leader charged.

The AAP government broke all records of corruption during its 10-year rule in Delhi, Nadda told the gathering.

"Waqf Board scam... they did not even spare Muslims. They committed a scam worth Rs 100 crore (in Waqf Board)," he claimed.

Nadda termed Kejriwal the "biggest liar".

Jalgaon tragedy: Karnataka Express arrived 20 minutes after Pushpak halted by chain pulling

Dismissing reports that some passengers of Pushpak Express jumped off the train amid a fire rumour, railway officials Thursday said the passengers alighted after they stopped the train by pulling alarm chain and had adequate time to move to safe location as Karnataka Express arrived 20 minutes later.

Thirteen passengers of the Mumbai-bound Pushpak Express, who got off the train, were run over by the Karnataka Express heading from Bengaluru to Delhi on the adjacent tracks in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district on Wednesday evening.

The officials said that the passengers who got down on the adjacent tracks had adequate time to move to safe areas, but they kept standing without realising the impending danger.

Several videos shared by passengers prior to the tragedy also suggest the same.
