Seven states, including Karnataka and Maharashtra, have come up with dedicated policies to facilitate establishment of 1,380 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) with a target to create an additional 12 lakh jobs by 2031, according to CBRE.
Real estate consultant CBRE on Friday released a report 'The Policy Advantage: Powering India's GCC Growth'.
As per the report, seven states -- Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh -- are targeting setting up of around 1,380 GCCs in their states with a cumulative target of creating about 1.18 million jobs by 2031.
"The speed at which state governments have moved to formalise dedicated GCC policies is unprecedented in India's commercial real estate landscape," said Anshuman Magazine, Chairman & CEO - India, South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa, CBRE.
"This reflects a broader recognition that these centres are no longer a peripheral component of India's services economy, but a central pillar that states .

Domestic passenger vehicle dispatches from companies to dealers rose 34.3 per cent year-on-year to 4,57,810 units in July, industry body SIAM said on Thursday.
Passenger vehicle dispatches were at 3,40,772 units in July 2025, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said in a statement.
Total two-wheeler sales rose 22.6 per cent to 19,23,483 units last month, as against 15,69,120 units in July last year, it added.
Three-wheeler dispatches to dealers were up 33.4 per cent last month at 92,560 units as against 69,403 units in the year-ago period, it added.

State-owned lender Central Bank of India has mobilised USD 250 million under the FCNR-B window introduced by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), a senior bank official said on Wednesday.
Central Bank of India has surpassed the USD 100 million target set for July, garnering USD 250 million.
"We have surpassed the July target set internally, and mobilised USD 250 million under FCNR - B," Kalyan Kumar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Central Bank of India, said on the sidelines of the annual FIBAC event here.
He said that the Central Bank of India has raised funds through its GIFT City branch and has set a target of USD 400 million by September end, the closure date fixed by the RBI for the special swap window.
During the post-June quarter earnings conference, Kumar had said that the Bank expects to accumulate a total of USD 400 million.
A senior executive of the Bank had earlier said that it is looking to raise the deposits from the Middle East and Australian markets.
