Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Apr 15(ANI): Amid lockdown extension, mango farmers are concerned of the repercussions, the mango sector will face in this season. According to the farmers comparatively, this year the production of mangoes was less because of the weather condition, on top of that coronavirus has worsen the situation. Mangoes cannot be exported. Prime producers of mangoes in Uttar Pradesh included Lucknow, Amroha, Sambhal, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur. Together they have around 2.5 lakh hectare areas which are dedicated for producing different types of mangoes. Farmers now demand that the supply of mangoes should not be halted amid lockdown.
