Private equity fund Norwest on Thursday announced that it has led a Rs 1,465-crore investment in the Hyderabad-based non-bank lender IKF Finance.
The investment includes both primary share issuances and also secondary transactions, according to a statement. Norwest has led the round with a USD 100 million or about Rs 850 crore investment, it said.
The company, founded in 1991, operates in nine states, offering secured retail loans and credit for small businesses. It also gives loans against property and affordable home finance through a home finance subsidiary. It had a loan book of Rs 6,700 crore as of March 2025.
The company is backed by Accion and its limited partners, it said, adding that existing investor Motilal Oswal PE has also invested in the current round.
"This is our largest fundraise to date and a key milestone in our journey to expand access to inclusive, flexible financial solutions for underserved communities," the company's founder and chairman VGK Prasad said.

Greater Noida-based Alpex Solar on Thursday said it has secured orders worth Rs 1,068.84 crore from various companies, including Coal India arm Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Ltd and Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency.
Alpex Solar, in consortium with NVNR Power & Infra Ltd, has secured a Rs 349.99 crore order from Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDIL), a subsidiary of Coal India, the company said in a statement.
The project encompasses design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, fabrication, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of a grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant at Nandan Washery, Kanhan area, under Western Coalfields.
Alpex Solar holds a 70 per cent stake in the consortium.
Under the project, the consortium will also construct a 32kV double-circuit transmission line from the main control station to the feeding substation, along with requisite bay extension works.

The Supreme Court on Thursday expressed concern over drafting of arbitration clauses in commercial agreements and said the arbitration process was being misused to complicate and prolong matters.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh raised "serious concerns" over the manner in which ambiguity was embedded into such agreements and instructed courts to show an "unwavering tendency" towards rejecting shoddily drafted clauses at the very threshold.
"The drafting of arbitration clauses in commercial agreements in India leaves much to be desired. Despite arbitration being introduced as a means of ensuring speedy and effective dispute resolution, it is evident and ironic that, in certain cases, the process has been misused to further complicate and prolong the resolution of disputes," it said.
"Whether this stems from administrative oversight or deficient legal advice is a matter best left for separate consideration," the bench added.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on Friday presented a Rs 40,187 crore-budget for the megapolis.

The Rajya Sabha on Thursday returned the Finance Bill 2025 to the Lok Sabha, along with 35 government amendments, including one that abolishes a 6 per cent digital tax on online advertisements, thus completing the 2025-26 budgetary exercise that started on February 1.
