Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has ordered inquiries into Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit's allegations of snooping and large sums of cash being brought into the city from Punjab ahead of the next year's Assembly election. In a letter dated December 25, Dikshit flagged the alleged presence of intelligence personnel from the "Punjab Government" outside his residence in Delhi. He alleged that "official vehicles" associated with these personnel had been often seen outside his home, suggesting surveillance and intimidation. There was no immediate response available from the Aam Aadmi Party, which governs both Delhi and Punjab. Saxena has sought a report on the allegations within three days. Kejriwal, Atishi committing 'political fraud' with women, elderly: BJP

The BJP on Wednesday accused AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi of committing a "political fraud" with women and elderly in the city by promising them benefits of non-existing schemes ahead of Assembly polls. The party also challenged the ruling AAP and Atishi to show notifications of the schemes. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva in a press conference said that there is still time for Kejriwal to apologise to Delhi's public for "fake" 'Mahila Samman' and 'Sanjeevani' schemes. Addressing a press conference, AICC treasurer Ajay Maken lashed out at AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, saying his party came to power riding on the Janlokpal agitation but has failed to set up the anti-corruption ombudsman. The Congress Tuesday released its second list of 26 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls, fielding Farhad Suri against AAP's Manish Sisodia from Jangpura while also giving tickets es-AAP MLAs Asim Khan and Devender Sehrawat. Senior BJP leader Anurag Thakur on Monday issued a "chargesheet" against AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of turning Delhi into a "corruption lab" through a series of "scams". Punjab municipal polls: AAP wins Patiala; Congress ahead in Amritsar

Punjab's ruling Aam Aadmi Party won the municipal elections in Patiala and was leading in Ludhiana and Jalandhar, while the Congress was ahead in Phagwara and Amritsar.
