PM Modi's 'Parivartan Rally' on Sunday will be game changer in Delhi: BJP

The BJP will take its Delhi Assembly poll campaign to the next level with the "Parivartan Rally" of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rohini with "major announcements" for Delhi, party leaders said on Thursday. The rally is scheduled to be held Sunday at Japanese Park in Rohini in northwest Delhi. AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal in the run-up to Delhi Assembly polls next month has announced a Rs 2,100 monthly payment for women and an honorarium of Rs 18,000 per month for priests and granthis. "Some big-ticket announcements are expected to be made by Modi in the rally. These will have a course-changing impact on our campaign," said a top Delhi BJP functionary. The Delhi BJP has already claimed that the "free" schemes of the AAP government will be continued if the party comes to power in Delhi. They have also hinted that the BJP could offer more to Delhi residents through increased free electricity units per month as well as by matching the Rs 2,100 promised by Kejriwal under Mahila Samma

Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has ordered inquiries into Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit's allegations of snooping and large sums of cash being brought into the city from Punjab ahead of the next year's Assembly election. Kejriwal, Atishi committing 'political fraud' with women, elderly: BJP

The BJP on Wednesday accused AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi of committing a "political fraud" with women and elderly in the city by promising them benefits of non-existing schemes ahead of Assembly polls. The party also challenged the ruling AAP and Atishi to show notifications of the schemes. Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva in a press conference said that there is still time for Kejriwal to apologise to Delhi's public for "fake" 'Mahila Samman' and 'Sanjeevani' schemes. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that many persons who were registered for the scheme lost money because they shared their personal details like bank accounts. Delhi Congress on Wednesday released a 12-point "white paper" targeting the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP over their alleged unkept promises and mismanagement on various issues like pollution, civic facilities and law and order. Addressing a press conference, AICC treasurer Ajay Maken lashed out at AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, saying his party came to power riding on the Janlokpal agitation but has failed to set up the anti-corruption ombudsman.
