All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) general secretary J Jayalalithaa has changed several of the party's candidates from the list of candidates it has announced on April 4, 2016, for the upcoming Legislative Assembly elections.In a statement issued by Jayalalithaa, the party announced that N Murugumaran (to contest in Kattumanarkoil), S Pounraj (Poompuhar), B Satyanarayanan (T Nagar), S Semmalai (Mettur), O S Manian (Vedaranyam), S Kamaraj (Mannarkudi) and A Nanjil Murugesan (Nagercoil) will contest instead of the previously announced candidates in the respective constituency.Earlier, she changed the candidate for Aruppukottai constituency, announcing former School Education Minister Vaigai Selvan as the new candidate.
