NSA Doval meets top leadership of Oman, focus on boosting bilateral ties

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday met Oman's top leader Sultan Haitham bin Tarik in Muscat and handed over a written message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi that dealt with various aspects of the ties between the two countries. Separately, Doval also held talks with Oman's foreign minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi with a focus on possible bilateral cooperation in the spheres of technology, military matters and mining, the Oman News Agency reported. On behalf of the government of Oman, Sayyid Badr congratulated India for successfully hosting G20 meetings. Doval called on Sultan Haitham at the Al Baraka Palace and handed over Modi's message to him, the news agency said. It said Sultan Haitham and Doval explored ways to expand bilateral relations and exchanged views on various issues of common interest. Doval conveyed to the sultan greetings from the prime minister and wished for Oman's progress and prosperity. Sultan Haitham reciprocated the greetings and wishes.

iCET to give orbital jump to strategic relations between India, US: Doval

National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and his visiting American counterpart Jake Sullivan on Tuesday unveiled an ambitious roadmap for Indo-US collaboration in seven specific high-technology areas, including semiconductors, next-generation telecommunication, artificial intelligence and defence. After the roadmap was unveiled at an event, Sullivan said both sides are looking at a number of "deliverables" during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to Washington, which are fundamentally designed to "remove obstacles" for a deeper cooperation in the areas of defence, high technology, trade and a greater exchange of students. US NSA meets Doval in Saudi Arabia, next meeting in Australia this month

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan had a meeting with his Indian counterpart Ajit K Doval in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, the White House said, adding that the two leaders are scheduled to meet again in Australia later this month on the sidelines of the Quad Summit. This is the first meeting between Doval and Sullivan after they launched the ambitious India US ICET (Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology) dialogue here in January. Sullivan is currently travelling to Saudi Arabia. NSA Ajit Doval visits Iran, holds talks with Iranian counterparts

NSA Ajit Doval on Monday held wide-ranging talks with his Iranian counterpart Ali Shamkhani in Tehran focusing on economic, political and security ties between the two countries. The National Security Advisor is on a day-long visit to Iran. The two officials discussed economic, political and security issues concerning the two countries as well as the most important regional and international developments, Iran's IRNA news agency reported. NSAs of India, Iraq agree to enhance cooperation, counter-terror efforts

The National Security Advisors of India and Iraq have agreed to enhance defence cooperation and counter-terrorism efforts and strengthen security linkages between the two countries, officials said on Friday. National Security Adviser of Iraq Qasem Al-Araji is visiting India between March 22 and 25 at the invitation of NSA Ajit Doval. The visit of the Iraqi NSA is the first cabinet minister-level visit from Iraq to India in the last seven years, the officials pointed out. Qasem Al-Araji was earlier the minister of interior from 2016 to 2018. He has been the NSA since July 2020. During the visit, both the NSAs had extensive dialogue on a vast area of mutual interest. Head of Ukrainian President's Office Andriy Yermak has spoken to National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and sought India's support for a draft resolution in the UN on peace in Ukraine, asserting that cooperation with New Delhi was very important. According to a Ukrainian statement, Yermak during a phone call informed Doval about the current situation at the front, in particular about the "extremely difficult defense" of the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday said that no country should be allowed to use Afghan territory to export terrorism and asserted that India will never abandon the people of Afghanistan in their time of need.
