From December 15, 2019 FASTag will be mandatory. If FASTag is missing from your vehicle, the driver will have to pay double the toll tax
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had earlier announced that from December 1, toll payments on highways would be accepted through FASTags only
The government had been pushing for e-tolling prior demonetisation as well
