Trump ridicules basketball player LeBron James
United States President Donald Trump took a potshot at American basketball player LeBron James following latter's interview with CNN's Don Lemon.Referring to the interviewer as the "dumbest man on television", Trump tweeted, "Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn't easy to do. I like Mike!"LeBron recently announced about his 'I Promise School', a public elementary school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, for at-risk children. Jessica Lange to return for 'American Horror Story' season 8
American actress Jessica Lange is all geared up to return in the upcoming eighth season of 'American Horror Story'.Titled as 'American Horror Story Apocalypse', the TV series will see the actress reprising her original AHS roll of tragic and intrusive Constance Langdon, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.In the season four of the series, Langdon was seen taking custody of her neighbours' satanic offspring.Besides Lange, the cast of the upcoming season will also include Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Billie Lourd.Meanwhile, Joan Collins will also join the star-studded cast in the TV series.American Horror Story is an anthology horror-drama series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
'Marco Polo' producer passes away
Vincenzo Labella, the writer and producer of the Emmy-winning series 'Marco Polo' died in Los Angeles at the age of 93.The writer-producer died on July 28, his daughter, Jennifer De Maio confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. He is survived by his wife Sue, three daughtersLabella, who started out as a historian, journalist and documentarian, produced movies like 'Jesus of Nazareth', 'Marco Polo' and 'Moses the Lawgiver'.He also wrote a film based on the life of Pope John XXIII with Ermanno Olmi and co-produced a film "A Man from a Far Country" on Pope John Paul II.'The Wonders of the Vatican Library' was his final project which was released in 2004 as a series of documentaries.

KKVIB issues legal notices to textile group, Mohanlal over ad
The Kerala Khadi and Village Industries Board has issued legal notices to a textile group and leading actor Mohanlal over an advertisement showing him spinning a charkha and demanded that it be withdrawn. "Legal notices have been issued to both the textile group and Mohanlal. There is no connection between the charkha,which is a symbol of the freedom struggle, with the textiles sold by the group,"Board Vice-President Shobhana George told PTI here. Charkha is for producing khadi and the advertisement with Mohanlal on a charkha is misleading, she said and demanded that it be withdrawn. J J Abrams and his "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof have apologised to Evangeline Lilly for making her feel uncomfortable on the set of the former hit ABC series. In a recent interview, Lilly, who played Kate Austen on the show, revealed that she felt "cornered" into doing a partially nude scene on the TV series. The show's creators and executive producers, including Abrams, Lindelof, Jack Bender and Carlton Cuse, issued a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight, following the actor's comments. "Our response to Evie's comments in the media was to immediately reach out to her to profoundly apologise for the experience she detailed while working on 'Lost'. "We have not yet connected with her, but remain deeply and sincerely sorry. No person should ever feel unsafe at work. Period," the statement read. Actor Seth Rogen has apologised for using a non-black performer with a blackface in his new production "Good Boys". The controversy erupted after set photos showed a stand-in performer wearing darker makeup or "blackface". He was given dark brown makeup in a bid to match the skin tones of 11-year-old actor Keith L Williams, who star in Rogen's production.
