Ving Rhames says police held him at gunpoint in his own home

Ving Rhames has revealed he was held at gunpoint in his home earlier this year when a neighbour reported that "a large black man" had broken in. The "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" star was asked about his experience with racism on SiriusXM's "The Clay Cane Show" when he disclosed that the incident occurred while he was watching ESPN at his home in Santa Monica. "I get up, I open the door and there's a red dot pointed at my face from a 9-millimeter, and they say, 'Put up your hands.' Literally," he said. Pregnant goat dies after being gang-raped by 8 men in Haryana

A complaint has been registered against eight men in Haryana's Mewat district for allegedly gang-raping a pregnant goat, who later died.The incident took place on the night of July 25 while the complaint was filed the next day in Mewat's Nagina police station."One person, Aslu registered a complaint on July 26 that his goat was gang-raped on the night of July 25 by Savakar, Haroon, Jaffar and five others whose identities are yet to be ascertained. All the accused are currently absconding," said Nagina police station in charge (SI) Rajbir Singh.Meanwhile, the owner of the goat, Aslu said: "They took my goat to an old home in the evening. One of the accused is mental. When I told them that I will file a complaint against them, they said you can do anything that you want, we will continue to do this. Pradip Chowdhury to receive Mohun Bagan Ratna

Mohun Bagan 'Ratna', the highest honour of the century-old club will be conferred on former India international Pradip Chowdhury at its foundation day programme tomorrow. Goalkeeper Shilton Paul will be awarded the Best Footballer for the year 2017-18. A former Mohun Bagan captain, Chowdhury was also the India team manager.He made headlines for wrong reasons when he left the India camp days before the 2011 Asian Cup after a reported fallout with the then chief coach Bob Houghton. Chowdhury will be the 18th recipient of the award first given to Sailen Manna in 2001. Former India defender Subrata Bhattacharya won the prize last year. Kuwaiti couple held for assaulting customs officials at Sri Lanka airport

A Kuwaiti couple has been held in Sri Lanka for assaulting customs officials while allegedly trying to smuggle in a pet dog at the Bandaranaike International Airport here today, police said. A woman, 32, and her partner, 29, assaulted five customs officials, including a woman, at the airport on being asked for quarantine formalities related to the canine, they said. The officials tried to prevent the couple from smuggling in the dog and when they insisted on quarantine formalities the duo tried to escape the airport, the police said. The accused woman bit a woman customs official. When the other officials responded to the situation, they were also assaulted, the police said. The officials were taken to a hospital for treatment, they added. Reports said the couple was being held at a police station near the airport and would appear before a magistrate tomorrow.
