Swaraj offers help to school girl facing visa issues
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today assured help to a 14-year-old girl facing visa issues for her travel to London after being selected to represent India at a global conference. A woman named Arpita Tiwari, in a tweet, said the girl, Isha, studying in a government school in an underprivileged community in Delhi's Sangam Vihar, has been selected to represent India for the conference in the British capital city. She has her tickets booked for May 3 but is unable to travel as her visa clearance is delayed, Tiwari said. "We will definitely help. I have asked my office to get in touch with you," Swaraj said. The Union minister also assured assistance to a woman, who said her brother had gone to Kuwait for some office work and she later lost contact with him. The Police on Sunday recovered incriminating materials from Rongbokgre and Dorengkigre village in Meghalaya's Tura district.After a long search operation, the police search team managed to retrieve various items from different locations of the village.One 7.62 Machine gun, one 7.62 SLR Assault Rifle, one DBBL, one DBBL barrel, eight wireless sets, thirteen wireless set batteries, five primed IED'S in plastic containers, six twelve volts batteries for IED, and five circuits for RC IED have been found.The machine gun is one of the iconic weapons used by Meghalaya's top militant Sohan. Saudis apologize for 'indecent' images at wrestling event
Saudi sports officials are apologizing after images of scantily clad women appeared on big screens during a world wrestling event held in the kingdom, which hosted women and children for the first time. The Saudi General Sports Authority apologized in an online statement today.
