All India Congress Committee general secretary K C Venugopal on Sunday claimed the three-day 85th plenary session of the party to be held in Raipur from February 24 will be a "game changer" for Indian politics. Venugopal along with senior party leaders Pawan Bansal and Tariq Anwar reached Chhattisgarh's capital to take stock of preparations for the plenary session to be held at the Rajyotsava Sthal in Nava Raipur. The Congress on Tuesday charged that the Government was using Covid as an excuse to stop the Bharat Jodo Yatra as the long march spearheaded by Rahul Gandhi was gaining momentum every passing day. Everything will be resolved smoothly, says Venugopal on Gehlot-Pilot tussle

Amid an ongoing power tussle between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his bete noire Sachin Pilot, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal on Friday said "everything will be resolved smoothly" and the party is very much united in the state. In an interview with PTI, Venugopal also exuded confidence that the Congress would win the Rajasthan assembly polls next year and return to power. His remarks come after a major row erupted last month following Gehlot's comments that Pilot is a 'gaddar' (traitor) and cannot replace him. Congress General Secretary- Organisation KC Venugopal on Sunday fell down and suffered injuries during the fifth day of Madhya Pradesh's leg of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Indore.Venugopal sustained injuries on his hand and knee from a stampede and was given first aid at the Yatra camp.As per reports, the reason for the stampede that led to KC Venugopal's injury was the police personnel's failure to control the huddle, formed to meet Rahul Gandhi.
