CIPL bags Rs 114 crore IT infra maintenance project from Indian Oil

Technology solutions company CIPL on Wednesday said it has secured a Rs 114-crore project from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for the comprehensive maintenance of IT infrastructure of the public sector petroleum major. The contract will be carried out over a period of three years, starting from June 2024 and ending in May 2027. "Corporate Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (CIPL) has secured a landmark contract from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for the comprehensive annual maintenance of IT infrastructure across all divisions of the state-owned company," CIPL said in a statement. As part of the contract, CIPL will deploy more than 400 engineers to manage the regular maintenance of IT infrastructure across 131 locations of Indian Oil nationwide. "The contract, valued at Rs 114 crore, pertains to annual maintenance and Facility Management Services (FMS) for all divisions of Indian Oil across the country," the statement further said. A bus ferrying employees of a private company ploughed into the boundary wall of a group housing society in Noida on Tuesday, killing a fast food seller who had set up his shop outside the residential complex, police said. The deceased has been identified as Nepali-origin Deepak (30), while his younger brother Sushil (18) suffered severe injuries in the crash and has been hospitalised in critical condition, the police said. However, eye-witnesses claimed that one more person who worked at the momo stall suffered injuries in the episode. The bus had ploughed some five metres into society after crashing its boundary wall and was barely 10-15 metres away from one of the low-rise towers in the society and lay crashed on perpendicularly on an inner peripheral road of the housing complex. 5,200 commuters without helmet penalised in Noida, 8,406 challans issued

More than 5,200 commuters were penalised for riding two-wheelers without helmets in Noida and Greater Noida while a total of 8,406 e-challans were issued for traffic rule violations on Thursday, police said. Forty-six vehicles, including hatchbacks and SUVs, were also impounded during the action carried out at key road stretches, intersections and markets in the twin cities, according to a statement by the traffic police. A special traffic rules enforcement campaign was carried out around Attapir Chowk, sector 62, 39, 125, Kisan Chowk, Surajpur Chowk and Pari Chowk, it said. The maximum e-challans were issued for riding without helmet (5,210), followed by no parking (942), wrong lane (589), red light violation (293), without seat belt (263), faulty number plate (237), triple riding on two-wheeler (173), the police said. Authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar launched a fire safety inspection campaign at gaming zones here on Monday, a day after 27 people were killed in a blaze at a gaming zone in Gujarat's Rajkot. Realty firm Godrej Properties Ltd on Thursday said it has sold around 650 flats in Noida for more than Rs 2,000 crore, amid strong consumer demand for residential properties. In a regulatory filing, Godrej Properties informed that it has "sold around 650 homes worth over Rs 2,000 crore in its project, Godrej Jardinia, located in Sector 146, Noida." The project was launched in May 2024. "This is Godrej Properties' most successful-ever launch in Noida in terms of the value of sales achieved," the company highlighted. SC protects ex-NOIDA engineer Yadav Singh from CBI arrest for corruption

The Supreme Court on Thursday protected former Noida Authority chief engineer Yadav Singh from arrest by the CBI in a corruption case in which he allegedly executed 1,280 maintenance contracts worth Rs 954 crore in eight days in December 2011. A bench comprising Justices Hrishikesh Roy and Prasant Kumar Mishra took note of the submissions of senior advocate NK Kaul, appearing for Singh, that a bailable warrant has been issued against the accused after the central probe agency filed a supplementary charge sheet against him in the case. The bench has now posted the plea for hearing after four weeks. The senior lawyer said the top court had granted him bail following his over three year incarceration in the case and he now apprehends fresh arrest in the wake of the filing of the fresh supplementary charge sheet. Stage set for Lok Sabha elections in Ghaziabad, Noida today; 5.6 mn to vote
