Priyanka Gandhi lying, MP farmers being given Rs 12,000: CM Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday targeted Congress general secretary Priyanka Vadra Gandhi over the latter's claim that farmers were unable to make Rs 27 per day, saying growers in the state are being given Rs 12,000. I would like to say that Rs 6,000 from the prime minister and Rs 6,000 from me are being directly deposited into the bank accounts of farmers. Don't tell such a lie that it can't be stomached, he told reporters here. The CM, however, did not specify whether the money was being deposited into the farmers' accounts monthly or yearly. Farmers got loans at 18 per cent (interest) during the Congress rule. We are giving them loans at zero per cent. She said that the daily income of a farmer was just Rs 27 a day, he said. Addressing a Jan Aakrosh' rally in Gwalior on Friday, Gandhi, without naming anyone, said that the Centre was handing over the country's wealth to two businessmen, one of whom she claimed earned Rs 1,600 crore per day, while a

Rahul fighting for people, regime using tricks to deter: Priyanka Gandhi

Rahul Gandhi is fighting the battle for truth and people's interests against an "arrogant regime" which is adopting all tricks in the book to suppress the questions he is raising, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on Friday after the Gujarat High Court dismissed her brother's plea seeking a stay on his conviction in a criminal defamation case. While dismissing the plea, Justice Hemant Prachchhak noted that Gandhi was already facing 10 criminal cases across India, adding that the order of the lower court was "just, proper and legal" in handing over a two year jail term to Gandhi for his "Modi surname" remark. In a long Twitter post in Hindi, Priyanka Gandhi quoted the poem "samar shesh hai...(battle is yet to be over)" by Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar' and launched a scathing attack on the Modi government. Priyanka Gandhi attacks MP's BJP govt with '21 jobs, 225 scams' jibe

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Monday kickstarted her party's campaign for the year-end Assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh with a rally in Jabalpur where she accused the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of being mired in corruption and failing to provide jobs. She cited alleged corruption in Vyapam and ration distribution and said 225 "scams" had taken place in the 220 months of Bharatiya Janata Party rule in the state. "In the last three years, only 21 government jobs were provided in the state by the BJP government. When this figure was brought to my notice, I got it checked three times from my office and found it is a fact," she said. Gandhi said the Chouhan government had not even spared gods, referring to winds on May 28 damaging six idols in the Ujjain's Mahakal Lok corridor, the first phase of which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October last year. The 900-metre corridor at the renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple is being built at a cost of Rs 856
